An LD_PRELOAD hack that added anti-aliased fonts to GTK+ version 1.2.
This is now very obsolete. Even if you wanted to use GTK+ 1.2 (which is very old) the X11 anti-aliased font API that gdkxft uses is not implemented in the same way in modern X servers. The source may be of interest though.

Until September 2016 I am a Tutorial Fellow in Philosophy at Corpus Christi College and an Associate Professor in the Oxford Philosophy Faculty. From then on, I'll be a Senior Adviser at the New Zealand Ministry of Transport.
